The Goodbye I Couldn't Explain - Episode 7

Madelyn invites Dwight, newly returned from the provincial capital, to eat at her home and gives him the reserved nutritious meat originally meant for Mr. Zoller because Dwight is weak. Trenton watches, bitter and convinced Madelyn ignores him. Later Mr. Zoller suddenly collapses; people scramble to pull him up. Madelyn immediately blames herself for taking his meal, while others reveal he has long-standing severe gastroenteritis. Mr. Zoller regains consciousness and groggily asks, "Who are you?" The episode ends with Madelyn's guilt and Trenton's resentment unresolved as the group faces uncertainty about his recovery.
