Clare hides on Lambert family property after "your two men" were led away, and an aggressor assumes she won’t be found. He gives her thirty seconds to hand over the Master Token to spare a captive, threatening to slice him up if she refuses. Clare refuses, saying she'd rather destroy everything than surrender it. The attacker—boasting he'll soon be Lambert's head—moves to carry out the threat. Suddenly a voice shouts "Stop!", leaving the token, the captive's life, and Clare's next choice unresolved.
