At a party called by Mr. Rogers, April is confronted and mocked for leaving him and turning to Dexter. Reuben taunts her as someone once 'bought' years ago, but April insists it isn't about money: Mr. Rogers is an old lover and she enjoys being with him. The scene flips into a negotiation—Mr. Rogers' offer rises from one million to five million after someone says they need money for Mom and Grandma. Guests force alcohol on April, shouting "Drink it!" As she tries to leave, people hold her back and she cries, "Let me go!"
