At a Byzon event Heidi is publicly humiliated and ordered out, dismissed as a mere produce vendor. Security moves in while a man who says she was his wife tells her people only respected her for that and offers a bargain: apologize to Hannah now and he will try to get her spared. Henry Walker is summoned; onlookers explain his power and a rumor he acquired Byzon. An ally reveals a plan to present the Lane family heirloom to Mr. Walker to secure a Byzon–Lane deal and list the company, leaving Heidi's fate hanging as she must decide.
