Revenge Carved in a Second Life - Episode 3

Cindy Quinn unexpectedly meets Evan Shane and his matriarch when she applies to intern at Shane Group. Evan is polite but cold; Grandma takes a liking to Cindy, gifts a necklace, and insists Cindy call her 'Grandma' and move into the family so Evan can personally show her around. Cindy recalls a past life when she was refused even a menial job despite hardship, so this internship feels like a second chance. At the episode's end a colleague says, 'Your new necklace is beautiful'—Cindy reads it as mockery and must decide whether to accept life under the Shanes' scrutiny.
