Sam is injured in a street scuffle while Tasha and a crowd accuse him and call his father "good-for-nothing." His father arrives, defends Sam, and insists Sam was provoked by a larger group. He asks that Tasha be allowed to leave and tries to talk it out, but the crowd refuses to let them go and escalates to extortion: they demand the father kneel, apologize, and pay a million to settle. The standoff forces an immediate choice—submit to the crowd's terms or refuse—and the father's decision remains unresolved.
