When Love Could Not Heal

Hugh gives up his chance at the National Medical Research Council to save his wife Quinn, who has late-stage liver cancer. He sells family heirlooms to fund her treatment, only to learn Quinn used the money to buy a car for her first love, James. She becomes consumed by their past and neglects their son, Luke. Hugh and Luke confront her and grant three chances to change, but she refuses each time. Betrayed and with no alternative, Hugh accepts a spot in the National Physician Program and leaves with Luke. Quinn finally feels regret after they depart, but her choices have already broken the family and closed the door on repair.
