At the gate Celeste confronts Clara after finding first-class passenger 2A missing, accusing her of past deceit. They recheck and confirm the absence. A doctor carrying a heart for a transplant hasn't boarded, and crew plead to reopen the door so he can reach Harborview. Others warn opening the door without permission will ground the plane and demand someone accept responsibility; Mr. Harrington is pressed. Ethan moves to take off despite orders to wait. The episode ends with Ethan attempting departure while the staff's choice, to stop to save a life or proceed and risk grounding, remains unresolved.
