At the airport staff learn Mr. Montclair is coming and asked to see Ms. Whitmore. A boarding-count discrepancy left a doctor at the terminal; colleagues accuse Clara of falsifying the count while others point to Celeste. Mr. Hill fires Celeste on the spot, orders a company statement to cut all ties and pin responsibility on her, and tells staff to restrain her until Mr. Montclair arrives. Celeste insists she'll appeal and, recalling her last life, says the doctor still has time for surgery. Held down and publicly scapegoated, she now awaits Montclair's arrival and the blame he will assign.
