After Mr. Jensen drives a woman home to Arcdon, coworkers whisper that he’s unusually soft toward her. At the office they review the woman’s file: her name is Chloe Sharpe, her bank account is under her mother so a direct transfer might fail, and she’s never been in a relationship—so the baby’s father is unknown. Asked to dig deeper, Jensen refuses. They also learn Chloe majored in design but was rumored blacklisted for plagiarism two years ago. Despite that, Jensen tells HR to send a design-department offer, leaving her finances and paternity unresolved.
