At the auction the show is about to begin but Julia hasn't arrived. Guests whisper she might have gotten scared, been turned away for poor dress, or simply fled. Staff call her; the phone goes unanswered. Pressure builds because Mr. Wilson insisted he must see this person tonight and no one can explain her absence. While others dismiss Julia, Vivian refuses to give up. She leaves the venue to search for Julia, racing to find her before the auction proceeds and they have to explain Julia's absence to Mr. Wilson.
