At a crowded scene Julia is publicly accused after someone claims Terry will sell her to the underground auction house. Bystanders mock; an officer is present and Julia demands answers. Terry pleads, "I was framed," and asks others to vouch for him. He says he left earlier for a spa and planned to meet Julia for their anniversary, but now he's caught, disheveled, and questioned by police. Julia wavers, unable to fully trust his alibi. The episode ends with her challenging him—"Did someone put you up to this?"—and his situation remains unresolved.
