At a charity auction, scholarship student Julia arrives in a Hamilton gown she bought with scholarship money and is mocked when guests spot it's a fake. One woman offers to lend her real designer pieces. The first lot is a natural South Sea pearl necklace with a 300,000 starting bid. A man gives Julia his card, then an anonymous bidder jumps to one million to steal her spotlight. The crowd taunts, "Keep bidding...
