At a family confrontation, a daughter accuses her mother—who works as the Lawson family's housekeeper—of blocking her access to the Lawsons and shaming her because of their background. The mother fires back that the daughter has leeched off the family and vows to undo her plans. The daughter then spots a $200,000 necklace at an auction meant for Vivian, who can't pay, and demands the mother use her savings to buy it. The mother refuses.
