Thunder triggers Ms. Burke’s PTSD and she has an episode. Capt. Nash is summoned; staff warn she gets like this and 'likes to mess with people.' When someone suggests another caregiver, Nash refuses, saying, 'I'm the only one she can mess with.' Although he has taken his meds, Nash has a fever. A helper offers to call a doctor, but Ms. Burke rejects hospital care and refuses visitors, not wanting anyone to see her like this. Nash must stay despite illness, leaving their care unsettled.
